How it works

Add the handles or links you want to share.
Sort them into groups for different audiences or occasions.
Show your QR code in person, print it on a flyer, or drop your link. Whoever opens it sees only that group, and can’t tell the others exist.

Your data

canid has no database, no accounts, and no backend. Your handles are packed into a single long URL, and that URL is your card. It never touches our servers: when someone opens your link, their own browser builds the card on their screen. canid is also open source.

Since no data lives online, this isn’t for everyone. Any link you’ve shared keeps working for as long as canid is online (and the format is open source, so it isn’t tied to us), but your editable card lives only on your device, so clearing your browser or switching phones means rebuilding it from scratch unless you kept a backup or a link. And because each link is a fixed snapshot, you can’t edit or revoke one you’ve handed out. Treat it like a paper contact card: once it’s out, that version is out. You also can’t know who, or how many people, opened your card. If you’re trying to monetize an audience or track engagement, canid probably isn’t for you.

In return, you can keep as many separate profiles as you like, each with its own handles, groups, and color for a different part of your life. All with no password to remember, no ads, and no data sold.

For the night (or day) out

canid was designed for sharing in dark, loud, or busy environments like clubs, parties, markets, and meetups. That means big tap targets, a native dark mode that won’t flash-bang anyone, and a quick-access QR code. But, it works just as well online if you’re okay with long links.

Make it yours

canid is minimal and fast, but you can still give your card a personal touch. Add your name (or don’t) and choose from millions of colors and four typefaces. Cards can hold your socials, phone, email, and location, and anyone who opens one can save it straight to their contacts.

Install the app

canid runs in any browser. It’s highly recommended to install canid on your phone to keep your profile saved on your device and easily bring up the QR code.

You can also write your card to a blank NFC tag: open the editor, tap the NFC icon in its top bar, then hold your phone to the tag.
