How it works

  1. Add the handles or links you want to share.
  2. Sort them into three groups for different audiences or occasions.
  3. Show your QR code in person, print it on a flyer, or drop your link. Whoever opens it sees only that group, and can't tell the others exist.

Your data

canid has no database, no accounts, and no backend. Your handles are packed into a single long URL, and that URL is your card. It never touches a server: when someone opens your link or QR, their own browser builds the card on their screen.

Since no data lives online, this isn't for everyone. Your card sits only on your device, so clearing your browser or switching phones wipes it unless you saved a backup. And because each link is a fixed snapshot, you can't edit or revoke one you've handed out. Treat it like a paper business card: once it's out, that version is out. This also means you can't know who or how many people opened your card. If you're trying to monetize an audience or deeply understand your digital engagement, canid probably isn't for you.

In return, you can keep as many separate profiles as you like (a different card with its own handles, groups, and colour for each part of your life) with no password to remember, no ads, and no data sold.

For the night (or day) out

canid was designed for sharing in dark, loud, or busy environments — like clubs, parties, markets, and meetups. That means big tap targets, a native dark mode that won't flash-bang anyone, and a quick-access QR code. But, it works just as well online if you're okay with long links.

Make it yours

canid is minimal and fast, but you can still give your card a personal touch. Add your name (or don't) and choose from millions of colors.

canid runs in any browser. It's highly recommended to install canid on your phone to save your card in local storage and easily bring up the QR code.

Default display name

Optional and public. Shown at the top of your card, and above your QR in Present mode. Leave blank to show just the canid logo. Each group can set its own below.

Theme

These colors style your QR code and the page people see when they scan it.

High contrast QR Simplifies style for older screens, low-light scanning, or high-density codes.
Your handles

Be cool. Only add handles and links that are yours, or that you have permission to share.

Group settings

Group names are private — only you ever see them. "Name on card" is the optional public display name for that group's card; leave it blank to use your default above.

Backup & restore

Your card lives only on this device. Back it up to move it to another device, or to get it back if you clear your browser.

Warning: the backup link contains every handle and setting. Anyone who gets it sees everything.
